With over 35 years of experience training and coaching, Sandee brings a wealth of knowledge to riders and horses of all levels. Sandee grew up in the Chicago area where she showed in the Hunter divisions. She went on to earn a degree in Equestrian Science & Marketing from William Woods University and moved into competing eventers and jumpers. She continues to expand her knowledge by participating in clinics and the USEA’s Eventing Coaches Program.
Sandee believes true horsemanship starts with understanding — not just the how, but the why. Grounded in the classical dressage training pyramid, her approach focuses on helping riders truly understand their horses, so they can bring out the best in their partnership together. That approach has produced results: numerous students and horses under her guidance have qualified for the American Eventing Championships and US Pony Club Championships. She’s also served as a Regional Supervisor and Instruction Coordinator for US Pony Club in South Texas.
Whether working with a hobbyist that just wants a better partnership or preparing a competitor for the show ring, Sandee brings patience, expertise, and genuine enthusiasm to every lesson — always with an eye toward the deeper relationship between horse and rider.
